Highland County Board of DD superintendent Fred Williams has been reinstated just three days after he was temporarily suspended.
Williams was suspended Monday, according to standard procedure, after allegations were made against him. He was reinstated Thursday, according to board president Sam Snyder.
Snyder said the board cannot say who made the allegations or what Williams was accused of.
But in a news release he issued Thursday, Snyder said that allegations were made, and those allegations were investigated by a third party – Dublin Management Group based in Columbus.
The allegations were not substantiated, according to the news release.
“If we get an accusation there are steps that have to be taken and that’s what we did,” Snyder said Friday.
Snyder said he could not comment any further.
The news release said: “The Fayette and Highland County Boards of Development Disabilities fully support Mr. Williams. He has provided both boards with solid leadership and we appreciate and support his efforts in providing our clients with the services they need and deserve.”
