Reports of three possible heroin overdoses at two different locations in Washington Court House Monday night resulted in criminal charges being filed against four people.
At 10:54 p.m. Monday, Washington C.H. Police officers responded to Room 15 at the City Motel, 1524 Washington Ave., on a call of a possible heroin overdose. Officers made contact with Dustin L. Leisure, 27, who was reportedly attempting CPR on a woman identified as 30-year-old Courtney Nicole Jackson.
It was determined that Jackson did have a pulse and was breathing on her own, but was still unconscious, according to reports. Leisure allegedly told police that Jackson had brought heroin for them and that when he got out of the shower, she was unconscious.
A used hypodermic syringe and metal spoon were found near Jackson, police said. The Fayette County Life Squad was called and Jackson was taken to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment. She was later served with a summons for possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Leisure was taken into custody for a probation violation.
At 11:51 p.m. Monday, officers responded to 1115 Delaware St. on a call of an overdose. Officers located Rusty D. Penwell, 25, and Timothie K. Penwell, 22, both residents of the home, unconscious on the floor of the bathroom, according to reports.
An emergency squad was called and while tending to the individuals, officers found two hypodermic syringes and two metal spoons with residue. Timothie and Rusty Penwell were taken to Fayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Later they were both served with a summons for possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
