Lady Tiger Kaylin Sterling was the match medalist and the McClain girls golf team picked up another win Thursday when they traveled to Locust Hills Golf Club to take on Madison Plains. The final score was McClain 224, Madison Plains 234.

GREENFIELD — Buckeye Hills Country Club was the host of the 2023 Frontier Athletic Conference Championship for girls golf Monday. Coming into the event, the FAC standings had Miami Trace in first place at 25-5, followed by McClain at 23-7, Hillsboro at 17-13, Jackson at 12-18, Washington at 10-20, and Chillicothe at 0-30.

CHILLICOTHE — The 2023 Frontier Athletic Conference boys golf championship took place on Tuesday at the Chillicothe Country Club. Coming into the match Chillicothe was leading the way at 27-3, followed by Washington at 24-6, Miami Trace at 19-11, Jackson at 14-16, Hillsboro at 5-25 and McClain at 0-30.

GREENFIELD — The Washington High School volleyball team visited historic McClain High School in Greenfield Thursday for a match in the Frontier Athletic Conference. Folks were treated to a full five sets of volleyball action in the varsity contest where both squads were in search of their first conference win of the season.

It was a sunny Saturday for Whiteoak at the Aaron Reed Memorial Invitational at Southeastern High School as the Wildcats took the top two individual positions in the boys race and Lady Wildcat freshman Addy Hauke earned her first medal.
