Hillsboro High School poinsettia sale

The Hillsboro High School FFA Greenhouse Management class is having its annual poinsettia sale. From the start of the school year the greenhouse class has been learning how to take care of and manage a greenhouse and caring for poinsettias for a class project. They are learning marketing and advertising, sales and public relations. The sale starts on Nov. 28 and only last until Dec. 19. The red poinsettias are in nine inch containers and cost $10 a piece or three or more for $8 each. Students are willing to deliver or customers can pick up poinsettias at Hillsboro High School during school hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Hillsboro FFA chapter will be active during the holiday season. Some of its other upcoming activities include the Greenhand Banquet, Christmas caroling and Adopt-A-Family, Highland County Leadership Night, and a food science contest.
