The Lynchburg Lions Club held its monthly dinner meeting recently at the Lions Building in Lynchburg. The guest speaker for the evening was Carolyn Hastings, who is a knowledgeable member of the Lynchburg Historical Society. She gave an interesting presentation about the Underground Railroad and its influence on the local area during the Civil War era. Her stories were fascinating and the club thanked her for her information. Hastings is flanked in the photograph by Lynchburg Lions Club members Jenny Rhonemus, left, and Chris Hamlin, right.
