Hillsboro students compete in food science

Twelve members of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter traveled to Felicity Franklin High School recently to compete in a Food Science Career Development event. The purpose was to simulate learning activities in food science and technology related to the food industry. Through the CDE members had the opportunity to demonstrate skills related to food science by participating in a wide range of activities such as the triangle taste test, flavor and aroma identification, equipment analysis, good manufacturing practices, and problem identification. Members that competed include Zane Adams, Mackenzie Adams, Regan Claycomb, Grant Crum, Breanne Fender, Lexie Fritz, Lexey Hetzel, Kristen Jaimeson, Attie Johnson, Christian McConehea, Larkyn Parry and Brennen Priest.
