The winner this year of the Junior American Citizens Chapter poster contest was Isabella O’Madden, an eighth-grader at the Hillsboro Christian Academy. This year’s theme was Our National Parks: 100 Years of Service to America, sponsored by Waw-wil-a-way Chapter of the DAR. O’Madden’s poster features President Theodore Roosevelt and the many national parks he worked to establish. This led to the creation of the National Park Service 100 years ago. The chapter winner of the Creative Writing Award is Cheyanne Binegar, a fourth-grader at Hillsboro Christian School.
