The annual Ernie Blankenship Radio-Telethon was held on Match 30 at US Bank. The annual fundraiser is held every year to raise money for the Highland County Society for Children and Adults. Many sponsors from the community came together and raised a total of $105,886. The Hillsboro FFA donated $100 to the telethon. “It was a great feeling to be apart of such a wonderful cause,” said FFA officer Kaleb Harp. Other groups who donated were the Hillsboro fifth grade student council, Premier Showman 4-H Club, and many more local groups and individuals.
