Pet of the Week

0

The Highland County Humane Society Pet of the Week is Angel, a 1.5-year old-female pitbull. She loves to get outside where she can run and play and loves people and all the attention she can get. She would like to go with you while walking on a leash. Angel would probably do best in a home with dogs her size, with no small dogs or cats. Visit Humane Society Animal Shelter, 9331 SR 124, east of Hillboro, if you can provide a good home to any of its dogs or cats. For more information, call 937-393-2110. The shelter is open six days a week from noon to 5 p.m. It is closed Wednesdays. Right now, the shelter has lots of cats and kittens that need good homes. Upcoming dates to remember: July 12, Painting Party fundraiser at 6 p.m. at 24 Exchange, 144 W. Main, Hillsboro. Call and preregister with Carrie at 740-703-2421. The Humane Society still has appointments available for the Rascal Unit at the Leesburg fire house on July 26. If you would like to get your pets spayed, neutered, updated on shots or need surgery, call the Humane Society for an appointment. No walk-ins will be accepted.
