Bobbie and Larry Barr and Jeretta and Josh Barr bought a restaurant at 131 West Main Street, Hillsboro, on June 5, 2017 and changed the name to Momma’s West Main Street Café, otherwise known as Momma’s.

With many years of restaurant experience running and operating for someone else, Bobbie and Jeretta decided to pursue their dream of owning a restaurant of their own. Larry and Josh are busy with their own business, Barr Construction, so they help at the restaurant on occasion.

“Momma’s features home-cooked meals just like your mother and grandmother use to make,” the new owners said in a press release provided by the Highland County Chamber of Commerce. ”We use high quality fresh products to ensure quality meals at a great price and excellent customer service.”

Momma’s is open seven days a week 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday hours 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Now that we have had a month of training and finalizing recipes, we are ready to start our evening events. Momma’s will be available for dinning hours after 5 p.m. for large groups or parties of up to 57 guests. We will offer ‘in-house catering’ served family style. This will be by reservation only and a minimum of 10 people,” according to the release.

“We have kept the staff that wanted to stay and have hired a few, too. Come and meet our staff and try our home cooking, you won’t be disappointed. Send us your favorite family recipes. We will prepare a featured recipe and share with everyone,” according to the announcement.
