Mowrystown Lions hold fundraiser

The Mowrystown Lions Club participated in a community cookout fundraiser last Saturday at Kibler Lumber in Mt. Orab. The club raised more than $370 to be used for outreach projects in and around the Bright Local School District area. The club expressed special thanks District 13 OH6 District Governor John Bond for supporting it all the way from Germantown, Ohio. The Mowrystown Lions Club’s purpose is to serve its communities. The club is seeking new members. Its next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14 at the Old Y Restaurant. Everyone is welcome.
