SSCC Theatre will hold auditions for its fall production of Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman.” Open to community members and students, auditions will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on the Southern State Community College Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.

“Death of a Salesman” revolves around the last days of failing salesman Willy Loman, who cannot understand his lack of success and happiness. Through a series of tragic soul-searching revelations of life with his wife, sons, and business associates, we discover how Loman’s quest for the American Dream blinded him to those who loved him.

Those interested in auditioning should prepare and memorize a one- to two-minute dramatic monologue. Those interested in crew positions will be interviewed the night of auditions. Those unable to attend on the audition date should contact director Rainee Angles at [email protected] to schedule an audition/interview prior to Aug. 25.

Tickets are on sale now for SSCC Theatre’s 14th season, which includes “Death of a Salesman,” “Dead Man’s Cell Phone’” and “Dead Man Walking.” Free tickets to the SSCC Theatre Company’s readers’ theatre productions of “The Diaries of Adam and Eve” and “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” are also available.
