The 2017-18 Music at St. Mary’s Concert Series will open on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. with a classical piano recital performed by Dr. Jooyoung Kim, who is an adjunct piano professor and collaborative pianist at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Since making her piano debut at age 12 as a soloist with the Korean Symphony Orchestra, she has presented solo and chamber recitals in Korea, Germany, Spain, France, Italy and Russia, as well as in the United States. She graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees with top honors. Her doctoral degree is from Ball State University in Indiana.

Music at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hillsboro is presented to the Highland County community at no charge. It exists on donations collected at the concerts and friends who wish to support the series.

The church is located at 234 N. High St. (look for the red doors). Most of the concerts are followed by a reception in Lacy Hall. Enjoy refreshments and visit with the performers, some of whom will have CDs available for purchase. For further information contact: [email protected].
