The winners of the Fine Arts Awards at the 2017 Highland County Fair are as follows: People’s Choice, Melissa Bourne; Best of Show Overall, Mary Jo Copeland; Best of Show Adult, Peter Klein; Reserve Best of Show Adult, Kimberlee Giordano; Best of Show Student, Cora Grooms; Reserve Best of Show Student, Noel Brooks; Best Use of Color (K-8), Kate Alexander; Best Drawing (9th to adult) Brianna Purvis. The Fine Arts Department showed hundreds of art works in five divisions: three age groups of students from kindergarten to high school; and two levels of adults: amateur and professional.
