Carr, Frost receive Bob Shanks Award

This year’s recipients of the Bob Shanks Outstanding Youth Scholarship Award are: Margaret Carr, daughter of James and Kimberly Carr. She is a 2017 graduate of Whiteoak High School and is currently a freshman at Eastern Kentucky University. She has been active in Mowrystown FFA, Buford Dairy and Livestock 4-H Club, Highland County Jr. Fairboard, student council and National Honor Society; and Lane Frost, the son of Dustin and Erin Frost. He is a 2017 graduate of Fairfield High School and is currently a freshman at the University of Dayton. He has been active in the Premier Showmen 4-H Club, Highland County Junior Leadership Club, 4-H Advisory Committee, Fairfield FFA, Highland County Jr. Fairboard, National Honor Society and was the 2015 Highland County Fair King.
