Thriving in high school and beyond

Roush, right, dean of Core Studies at Southern State Community College, told Hillsboro Rotarians on Tuesday about an educational preparedness project he and three others are leading called “Thriving in High School and Beyond: Strategies for Academic Success and Personal Development.” The program helps students make informed choices on career-related issues ranging from financial aid for college to choosing a major to preparing for interviews in the workforce. Other program leaders are Aaron Thompson, Joseph B. Cuseo and Shane Shope. The meeting was held at the Ponderosa Banquet Center in Hillsboro.
