McClain FFA sixth in district at Food Science Contest

On Nov. 15, 14 members of the McClain FFA Chapter competed in the District Food Science Contest held at Whiteoak High School in Mowrystown. The McClain team placed sixth in the district. The competition includes food science math, aroma, triangle tests, food safety, customer complaint letters, and equipment. This contest teaches students to deal with unsatisfied customers and what the complaint entails. Also, the CDE educates students on the food safety in agriculture and how to apply it in real world situations.
