Humane Society Pet of the Week

0

The Highland Humane Society Pet of the Week is a 2-year-old male Newfoundland dog. The former owner of the dog called him “Puppy.” His owner had to surrender him because she is sick and cannot care for him. Puppy is a large dog and will need lots of room to run and burn off energy. He loves to play with people and would make a good family dog. He is strong and currently learning to walk better on a leash. If you could give Puppy, or any of the dogs or cats at the shelter, a good forever home, contact the Humane Society at 9331 SR 124, P.O. Box 471, Hillsboro, Ohio or call the shelter at 937-393-2110. The shelter is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. It is closed Sunday and Monday. In the spring the shelter always has lots of kittens for adoption. This year is no exception. The shelter is in need of cat litter, Purina Kitten Chow, bleach and families to foster the kittens and their mother. Kittens will be available for adoption very soon.
