Adena to hold free lung talk

0

Did you know lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death among men and women in the U.S.?

About 80 percent of individuals find out they have lung cancer after it has progressed to an advanced stage, when cancer is harder to treat. Catching cancer early could save your life.

Lung cancer screenings can help detect cancers earlier in people who are at risk.

Join Adena Radiation Oncologist Greg Thompson, M.D. for a free health seminar on this important health condition. Get the facts about lung health and hear information on preventing, diagnosing and treating lung cancer, including smoking cessation tips and an informational question and answer session.

The seminar will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the Bristol Village Activity Center, 660 E. Fifth St.,

Waverly.

Healthy sandwiches and refreshments will be served.

To register, visit www.adena.org/events or call 740-779-8664. Limited seating is available.
