Knights of Pythias Christmas Party
The 33rd annual Knights of Pythias Lodge 696 Christmas Party will be held Saturday, Dec. 15 at 1879 SR 73, Belfast. Festivities begin at 5:45 p.m. Bring a covered dish. Dinner is at 6:15 p.m. Santa will arrive at 7:30 p.m. There will be drawings, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, food, prizes and games. Hillsboro UMC Christmas Concert
The Hillsboro First Methodist Church will present its annual Christmas concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 with the church’s Adult Bell Choir, Singing Choir and Chancel Choir performing. The Chancel Choir will present the cantata “Behold A Savior.” The story is told through the eyes of Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and the wise men. A visual presentation will be presented. A freewill offering will be taken to support the church’s music ministry. The public is invited. Following the concert there will be a dinner served by the church youth. A freewill donation will be taken to support the church’s youth and their activities.
Legion Family Christmas Dinner
All members and families of the George A. Lambert American Legion Auxiliary of Sardinia are invited to attend the Legion Family Christmas Dinner at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Legion Hall, 106 College Ave., Sardinia. Meat, drinks and table service will be provided. Bring a covered dish and a wrapped gift for the auction. All proceeds from the auction will go to the AGAPE Council to help those in need. The annual Hillsboro Rotary Club Spaghetti Dinner will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Hillsboro High School cafeteria before a Hillsboro vs. McClain basketball game. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any Rotarian or at the door.

Lynchburg, Hillsboro candy sales
The Lynchburg Lions Club is selling bulk candy through December at Southern Hills Commumnity Bank and Lukas Pharmacy in Lynchburg; and Downtown Drug at 119 S. High St. in Hillsboro. Candy will be sold at all three stores will during regular business hours. Nearly 30 varieties of candy are available.
