Heather Parker of Greenfield, shown her outside the Highland County Humane Society Animal Shelter on SR 124 east of Hillsboro, recently completed her Gold Award Project — the highest award given to Girl Scouts — by completing a how to care for your dogs, cats and guinea pigs pamphlet. Copies of the pamphlet were given to the Highland County Humane Society and the Fayette County Humane Society to pass out to new pet owners.
