ARMC West entrance to reopen Monday

0

After being closed for more than one year, patients and visitors to Adena Regional Medical Center (ARMC) will soon be able to utilize the hospital’s west entrance and parking area. The newly remodeled area will reopen on Monday, Sept. 2 for public viewing, and operations will begin in the space on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The entrance and a nearby parking lot closed in August 2018, as the second phase of ARMC’s Emergency Department expansion began. With renovations now complete, patients will arrive to find a central registration/check-in area for services including radiology, surgery, cardiopulmonary and more. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of a new cafe and quiet space in a new waiting area near the Adena Retail Pharmacy. The renovations have also allowed for additional emergency department patient care areas.

The three-phase project will continue with additional renovations including: behavioral health rooms, new imaging space (CT and x-ray), break room, and other support space to enhance emergency department operations. The entire project is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
