Ignite Nutrition opens in Hillsboro

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed one of its newest members, Ignite Nutrition, with a ribbon cutting.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines the ceremony was small, just the business owner Michelle Gibbens and some of the family members who have helped her through the process of remodeling the storefront and opening, but served as a great reminder of the resilience of the local business community.

Gibbens decided to open the business after the unexpected loss of her husband in December. She announced in April that the business would be coming to the Hillsboro Shopping Center and by June the remodel was well underway. Final inspections were set for the end of July and the soft opening took place Aug. 21.

Ignite Nutrition is located at 1250 N. High St. in Hillsboro and offers a variety of pre-, during, and post-workout shakes and energy teas utilizing Herbalife Nutrition products and fresh fruits. Currently, the hours of operation are listed as 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a limited menu of four shake flavors and four tea flavors will be offered.

“Once we’ve been open for a couple of weeks and get into the swing of things, we might find out we need to shift the hours to better serve the needs of our customers,” Gibbens said. “We’ve also asked for opinions on the flavors people would like to see in a post on our Facebook page.”

The business can be found on Facebook under Ignite Nutrition-Hillsboro. A grand opening date is set for Saturday, Sept. 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
