Blooms to celebrate 60th anniversary

Ralph and Ruth Bloom will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on April 8, 1956 at the New Market Baptist Church.

The couple has two children, John ( Cindy) Bloom and Jeff (Tami) Bloom. They have six grandchildren: Janelle (Adam) Rockey, Laura (Brian) Byers, Zach Bloom, Emily (Matt) Jackson, Jade (Todd) Seaman and Jenna (Robbie) Wagner.

They also have nine great-grandchildren, Makenna and Maddyson Byers, Margarah and Meyer Bloom, Allison and Joslyn Rockey, Meri and Maggie Jackson and Hayden Wagner.

Ralph and Ruth have lived at 6831 U.S. Route 50 West, Hillsboro, for 47 years. They bought their first draft horses in 1976 and have been raising horses ever since. Ruth retired after 25 years form Albers (Great Scot/Community Market) in 1977. Ralph and Ruth have been involved in the trucking business ever since they were married.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration honoring their anniversary on Sunday, April 10 from 2-4 p.m. at the Ponderosa Banquet Center in Hillsboro. The family requests no gifts, please.
