Greenfield Library Link

December is here and we are ready. We have many new Christmas books and DVDs that you will enjoy.

We are also all decked out for the season thanks to Phil and Carol Roberts and Star Cinema. They provided a “Charlie Brown” backdrop for our decorations. We also have a wonderful “Gingerbread” collection in our display case provided by Mary Mick. It will get you in the Christmas spirit. Stop in and check it out.

The Greenfield Library’s Christmas Shop for those children who have been reading and earning merry money will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 12. We have 90 children signed up and participating. This is always a fun time for children to be able to buy gifts for those on their shopping lists with money that they have earned by reading.

We will be having an author visit and book signing with one of our local authors, Michael Cook. He will be at the library from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 15. The new book in his western Sean O’Rourke series is entitled “O’Rourke’s Revenge.” Stop by and check out his new book.

Don’t forget these upcoming events:

• Preschool Storytime – Tuesday 11 a.m. Activities include stories, crafts and lots of fun.

• The library is closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26 and Jan. 1 and 2.

The Greenfield Public Library is located at 1125 Jefferson St., Greenfield. Hours are Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number is 937-981-3772, fax 937-981-5177 or find us on the web at www.highlandco.org.
