Highland County Sheriff’s Office reports

Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports for the week of Jan. 18-24 the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received 318 911 calls, answered 166 requests for service, dispatched 126 fire and EMS runs, took 18 offense reports and investigated three traffic crashes.

`At 9:17 p.m. Jan. 18 the sheriff’s office received a 911 call from a residence in the 6000 block of West Welcome Road advising a male and female had been involved in a domestic dispute. Deputies responded to the scene and arrested Skyler D. South, 21, and

Rebecca M. Davidson, 24. Both South and Davidson were charged with one count of domestic violence and criminal damaging.

At 6:59 p.m. on Jan. 22 a Lynchburg citizen called 911 to report a possible domestic disturbance between a male and female at a residence on Faye Avenue. A deputy was dispatched to the scene to investigate the complaint. After speaking to several witnesses the deputy arrested a female juvenile for one count of domestic violence. She was transported to the Highland County Justice Center and later to the Juvenile Detention Center in Chillicothe.

On Jan. 22 at 9:23 p.m. the sheriff’s office received information that a person with an outstanding warrant was at a residence in the 2000 block of U.S. Route 50. A deputy responded to the scene and located Karie C. Price, 25, of Hillsboro, who was arrested on a grand jury indictment for possession and trafficking in heroin. She was transported to the Highland County Justice Center to await arraignment in Highland County Common Pleas Court.

At 9:10 p.m. on Jan. 23 the sheriff’s office received a call from the Clinton County

Sheriff’s Office in reference to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Horseshoe Road in Highland County. Clinton County had already dispatched emergency responders to that location for a female with injuries sustained during some sort of altercation. A deputy dispatched to the scene arrested Kimberly G. Burney, of Lynchburg, for one count of domestic violence. An injured female was transported by squad to Highland District Hospital with domestic violence charges pending on her as well.
