After a long Labor Day weekend at the Highland County Fair, Tyler Boggess was found sound asleep late Tuesday afternoon in the cattle barns at the Highland County Fairgrounds. Tyler’s father said his son had been sleeping in the same position for about 45 minutues. Junior Fair livestock sales get under way today at the fair with the barrow and goat sales starting at 6 p.m. On Thursday at 1 p.m. the chicken sale will be followed by the rabbit sale, and there will be four sales Friday starting at 6 p.m. with the steers, followed by feeder calves, lambs and the butter sale.

 

Drugs fuel ‘explosion’ in female offenders

While there are many effects of local drug addiction, the increase of female offenders is one that has had far-reaching impacts for not only the individual, but also for their families and the community as a whole.“It’s definitely increasing,” said Hillsboro Municipal Court Judge David H.
