McClain season tickets
McClain High School season basketball tickets will be sold Nov. 30 through Dec. 4 during school hours at the athletic office.
Seats are $50for the season and will be sold to those that had tickets in previous years first. Please direct questions to athletic director Patrick Stevens, (937)-981-4812.
SCOL boys preview
The 2009-10 South Central Ohio League basketball boys preview will be held at the new Washington High School, which is located near the site of the former high school. Enter off of Willard Street.
The boys preview will be Friday, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m. Match-ups are as follows:
First game: Massie vs. Bishop Ready at 6 p.m.
Second game: Hillsboro vs. London (starting 10 minutes after the first game).
Third game: Miami Trace vs. McClain (starting 10 minutes after the second game).
Fourth game: Madison Plains vs. Washington (starting 10 minutes after the third game).
Proceeds from ticket sales go to the SCOL to help pay for future league banquets, trophies, and other expenses.
Girls shootout
Southern State Community College is hosting the fifth annual Highland County High School Girls Shootout on Nov. 27. The Whiteoak and McClain reserve teams will face off at 4 p.m., followed by their varsity teams at 5:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. the Hillsboro and Lynchburg reserves will battle, before the varsity teams take the floor at 8:30 p.m.
SHL-SCOL Challenge
The Boys Southern Hills League - South Central League Challenge will be held on Saturday, Jan. 2 at Southern State Community College. The challenge will include three SHL teams and three SCOL teams representing each league. The time schedule for the games are:
Fairfield vs. Washington - 4:30 p.m.
Lynchburg vs. McClain - 6:30 p.m.
Hillsboro vs. Whiteoak - 8:30 p.m.
The last team listed is the home team.
Proceeds from the event are to be divided among the three home teams and will be rotated the following year. No one other than cheerleaders on the court at half-time. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
PV Lady Cats Classic
Paint Valley will be hosting the fifth annual Paint Valley Lady Cats Classic on Friday and Saturday. Hillsboro, McClain and Whiteoak will all be participating in the event. The complete schedule is as follows:
