Whiteoak High School students Olivia Osborn and D.J. Hooley helped pack up some of the supplies for Iraq.
The Whiteoak Task Force in Mowrystown recently received a donation from Klay Maynard, president of MPACT, a non-profit organization dedicated to supplying basic hygiene worldwide.
The donation of soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and sunblock was sent to a burn clinic in Iraq for children and women wounded in the war; to Hope Emergency, an organization that helps the needy with food, clothing and basic supplies; and will also be sent to the soldiers in Iraq.
Mandy Psiaki, the burn clinic contact, commented that the day before the package was sent, a young child had asked if anyone had a toothbrush that he could have. She said all the supplies are greatly appreciated.
