This accident closed U.S. Route 50 east of Hillsboro for about three hours Wednesday. Branden Jackman, public information officer for the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District, said the district was dispatched to the accident at 9:51 a.m. and that it took place near Ladd Road, about one mile west of Rainsboro. He said U.S. 50 was closed until around 1 p.m. Jackman said there were no reported injuries, but Paint Creek emergency personnel helped direct traffic at the scene and cut some trees so the wrecker crew could access the tractor-trailer. The Ohio State Highway Patrol Wilmington Post was handling the accident but said that no additional information would be available Wednesday.
