Girl Scout Troop 321 of Hillsboro visited the Hillsboro Police Department Tuesday afternoon to honor women in law enforcement for making a difference in the community. Dispatcher Koneta Bailey, second from left, and Patrol Officer Jeanne Alexander, center, answered questions from the troop that pertained to their chosen careers. Officer Alexander shared with the group that she was previously a Girl Scout when she was growing up and for Troop #321 to show their appreciation was a special moment for the officer. The Girl Scout troop also provided a box of their famous cookies to each of the women as part of their visit and show of appreciation, according to Sgt. Steve Browder, acting chief of HPD.
