Rescue crews use the Jaws of Life to extract a passenger inolved in a two-car wreck Friday afternoon on U.S. Route 62 near Nace Road, south of Hillsboro. Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper James Brooks told The Times-Gazette on scene that it appeared a white Kia Spectra sedan pulled out of a private driveway onto U.S. 62, and was struck by a northbound black Saturn Ion on the driver’s side. There were two passengers in each car, Brooks said. Two passengers were transported to Mercy Health Mt. Orab, one was transported to Clermont Mercy and one was transported to Highland District Hospital, according to Brooks. Brooks said the driver of the white car will most likely be charged with failure to yield from a private drive. No further information was available at press time.
