The district recently announced it will hold a water day in the parking lot of the North East Street Fire Station in Hillsboro on Monday, July 31 at 1 p.m. A post on the district’s Facebook page said the community’s response to Greenfield’s water days in previous years was “so overwhelming,” district officials decided to host the event in Hillsboro as well. The water day will begin immediately following the Hillsboro City Schools’ summer lunch stop in the fire station parking lot. Paint Creek public information officer Branden Jackman said the district hopes to host one more water day in Hillsboro before school starts.
