A man was arrested Friday after he was allegedly caught driving with a one-pot meth lab in his vehicle while his license was under suspension.
Investigators with the Hillsboro Police Department and emergency workers with Paint Creek Joint Fire/EMS District were on hand in a parking lot in the 1400 block of North High Street after HPD officer Brian Butler discovered a suspected meth lab in a vehicle he had just pulled over.
Butler told The Times-Gazette on scene that he conducted a traffic stop on a red Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jamison Doyal, 42, Hillsboro, after finding he had a suspended license.
After pulling him over, Butler said he observed meth lab components inside the vehicle.
The alleged lab was removed from the vehicle for investigation, and as investigators secured the scene, The Times-Gazette observed officers removing bottles from the vehicle, including a tea bottle containing a white substance.
Doyal was taken into custody, and is currently incarcerated at the Highland County Justice Center.
According to the HPD, he is charged with illegal manufacture of drugs.
The incident remains under investigation.
