Local youngsters do well at state fair

Local youngsters performed admirably this year at the Ohio State Fair. Shown in the first picture is Samantha Tipton, who placed third in Barrels (Fast Times 4H Club). Shown in the second picture is Harrison Burge, who finished in second place in Hunter Showmanship (13 year olds, Ready Set Show 4H Club). Shown in the third picture are, from left, (Silver Spurs 4H Club), Ryan Mau, second in Horsemanship 9-11, second in Pleasure 9-12, seventh in Championship Pleasure, and ninth in Championship Horsemanship; Journey Abbott, tenth in Advanced Equitation, tenth in Hunter Hack, eighth in Working Hunter; Andrea Kelch, first year qualifier who came close to placing in Ranch Pleasure; Elena Lowell, fifth in Hunter Equitation 9-12, tenth in Hunter Showmanship 9-12; and McKenzie Lowell, second place Reserve Champion in Hunter Showmanship (16 year olds).
