The Project Management Team of Grow! Highland County has announced its new enterprise facilitator, Tracy Evans. She began serving as the enterprise facilitator in September 2017.

Evans has been employed as a fiscal officer for the village of Leesburg since 2003. She served on the Fairfield Local Board of Education for eight years, serving as president for five years. In addition, Evans was one of the founding members of the Friendly Village Community Center in Leesburg, serving as the director for two years. She lives in Leesburg with her husband, Gary, and has two children, Victoria and Wyatt.

As the new enterprise facilitator, Evans’ mission is simple: Make herself available to any business that wants assistance in the three areas of business management – the product or service, marketing and financial management. She will work to bring together any number of resources to support entrepreneurs and small businesses to strengthen and grow Highland County’s economy. All of Evans’ services, provided through Grow! Highland County, are free and confidential and available to anyone in Highland County.

Grow! Highland County is a partnership between the Highland County Chamber of Commerce and Southern State Community College, and is presently funded through a grant from USDA-Rural Development as well as donations from various sources within Highland County. The program is based on the proven model of enterprise facilitation, which fosters entrepreneurship and small business development within Highland County.
