For the 24th year, Supplemental Assistance to the Handicapped (SATH) is sponsoring the Cutie Pie and Cutie Pet contests, which will be held during the 2015 Highland County Fair that runs Sept. 5-12.

All proceeds will benefit SATH, a non-profit organization that assists in providing funds for programs designed to assist children with disabilities in achieving their full potential.

To enter a child between the ages of one day to 6 years old, or to enter a pet, submit a photograph of the child or pet, along with a $2 registration fee, to Cutie Pie Contest, P.O. Box 608, Lynchburg, Ohio 45142.

According to a SATH press release, photos should be no larger than 4 inches by 6 inches. Also, include the child’s name and date of birth, parent’s name, address, and a phone number with the entry. For the Cutie Pet entries include pet’s name, owner’s name, address, and a phone number.

Photos can also be brought to the Cutie Pie booth in the Wharton Building during the fair and registered there.

Submitted photos will be on display at the Cutie Pie booth during the fair. There, those wishing to vote on their favorite photos can do so. A donation of a penny a vote would be “appreciated,” the press release stated.

Contestants who receive the most votes by 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 will receive trophies, according to the information from SATH. Then on Saturday, prizes will be awarded to the top three boys and girls in each age category, and to the top three pets.

The top boy and girl and each category, SATH Executive Director Linda Allen said in the press release, will receive a crown or tiara, but every entry will receive a ribbon and a certificate.

All submitted photos will be returned after the contest, she said. For more information contact Allen at 937-366-6657 or 937-364-6144.
