SR 73 crash Friday has ‘significant injuries’

A head-on collision Friday evening in Highland County resulted in significant injuries. According to Branden Jackman, public information officer for the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District, the wreck happened on SR 73 south of Hillsboro near Prospect Road. Two adults and a minor were flown, two from the scene and one from Highland District Hospital, due to the extent of the injuries. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. No additional details were immediately available.
