State Sen. Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) on Friday recognized local youth champions for their work raising and evaluating livestock.

“It always fills me with pride to see kids in our community living up to our great agricultural heritage, and I was honored to have them join me in Columbus so I could congratulate them for their accomplishments,” said Peterson. “After spending time with Allison (Davis), Emily (Jones), Caleb (Cook), Eric (Anderson) and Bryn (Karnes), I am more confident than ever in the future of our livestock industry and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to have in their communities—wherever their careers may lead them.”

First, Allison Davis of Carrollton was recognized for the hard work she put into raising her 2018 Ohio State Fair Grand Champion Meat Chickens.
