The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Nov. 18

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Arnell Johnson, 31, of Hillsboro, was arrested for receiving stolen property and cited for driving under suspension.

Bentancar Guillermo, 48, of Hillsboro, was cited for disorderly conduct.

Tabitha Tolle, 21, of Hillsboro was cited for disorderly conduct.

INCIDENT

A report was received of a male operating a vehicle with stolen property in the 900 block of North High Street. Officers located the male and the vehicle and placed Arnell Johnson, 31, under arrest. He was transported to the Highland County Jail.

Nov. 23

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Christopher Robinson, 30, of Hillsboro, was arrested for criminal trespass, failure to appear and obstructing official business.

Joshua Collett, 32, of Hillsboro, was arrested for assault.

INCIDENTS

A report was received of an assault that occurred in the 100 block of Chariss Avenue. Joshua Collett was arrested and taken to the Highland County jail.

A report was received of damage to a vehicle that occurred in the 1100 block of Northview Drive. Charges are pending.

Nov. 24

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Scottie Boone, 41, of Hillsboro, was arrested for failure to appear.

Jonathan Graham, 28, of Hillsboro, was cited for failure to yield and leaving the scene of an accident.

David Phillips, 82, of Leesburg, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

INCIDENT

A report was received of a theft that occurred in the 300 block of Johnson Street.

Nov. 25

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Timothy Shafer, 42, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension.

Annette Clemons, 54, of Hillsboro, was arrested for failure to appear.

INCIDENTS

A report was received of a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of West Beech Street. The vehicle was recovered in Fayette County.

A report was received of a male attempting entry to a vehicle in the 200 block of John Street. A male subject matching the description was located in the area. After a foot pursuit, the male was apprehended and placed under arrest.

ACCIDENTS

A report was received of a traffic crash in the intersection of North High Street and Fenner Avenue. After an officer’s investigation, it was determined that a vehicle operated by Donyal Watson was stopped in traffic with a vehicle operated by Harold Swayne stopped directly behind the Watson vehicle. Swayne observed traffic around him begin to move and released his brake, causing his vehicle to roll into the Watson vehicle. No damage was reported to either vehicle and no injuries were reported. No citations were issued.

A report was received of a traffic crash in the 1200 block of North High Street. After an officer’s investigation, it was determined that a vehicle operated by a 17-year-old female was behind a vehicle operated by Nathaniel Wynn. The Wynn vehicle slowed to a stop and the other vehicle was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. Minor damage was reported to the Wynn vehicle and disabling damage to the other vehicle. No injuries were reported and one citation was issued.

A report was received of a traffic crash in the 1100 block of Northview Drive. After an officer’s investigation, it was determined that a vehicle operated by Tina Hilterbran was backing from a parking space and backed into a parked vehicle owned by Angela Thompson. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

A report was received of a traffic crash in the 1100 block of North High Street. After an officer’s investigation, it was determined that a vehicle operated by an unknown subject drove through the parking lot and struck a parked vehicle owned by Tamela Gausman causing non-functional damage to the Gausman vehicle.

A report was received of a traffic crash in the 100 block of Careytown Road. After an officer’s investigation, it was determined that a vehicle operated by Marilyn Henderson was pulling into a parking space and struck a parked vehicle owned by Mitchell Claycomb. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
