Hillsboro VFW Post 9094 Commander Rick Wilkin told The Times-Gazette that Monday, March 25 will be the cutoff date for purchasing a commemorative brick for the Highland County Veterans Memorial this year. Purchases made after that date will go for brick installation in 2020. Wilkin, a veteran of the Vietnam War who saw action in the 1968 Tet offensive, said the memorial bricks cost $50 and applications to honor any veteran can be obtained by stopping by the Hillsboro VFW Post at 1000 W. Main St. behind the Dairy Queen or at Rick’s Body Shop in Allensburg.
