The precautionary boil alert issued on Wednesday after Greenfield’s pumping station lost power has been lifted, the city said Friday in a news release.

All water samples were negative for contaminates, Greenfield Public Service Director Gary Lewis said Friday.

Samples were sent for testing Thursday afternoon following the power outage at the pumping station. The boil alert was issued as a precautionary measure.
