Driver unhurt after Wednesday accident

The driver of a Chevrolet Impala SE was unhurt and his car sustained minor damage after he apparently drove left of center off the roadway, up and over a ditch and into trees Wednesday afternoon. Shortly after 3 p.m., the call went out of a car into a bank of trees on SR 124 across from Bible Baptist Church at the east edge of Hillsboro. The driver’s condition was evaluated at the scene by emergency personnel from the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District and a deputy from the Highland County Sheriff’s office. No further information was available as the investigation was ongoing.
