The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Oct. 15

INCIDENT

At 10:46 a.m., the police department received a call of a theft from a business located in the 6000 block of U.S. Route 50 west. It was reported that on Oct. 4 someone came onto the business property and stole a utility trailer. The trailer is described as a 2017, 7-foot by 18-foot carry-on dual axle, black with white wheels, and a single gate on the rear. This report is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at 937-393-3411.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Richard Penn, 47, of Leesburg, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear

Hayden Martin, 18, of Greenfield, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear.

Michael Berryhill, 45, of New Vienna, was cited for OMVI.

Susan Miller, 62, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Aaron Collett, 25, of Hillsboro, was cited for OMVI, improper backing and fictitious tags.

Susan Roades, 74, of Hillsboro, was cited for speed.

ACCIDENT

At 10:49 a.m., Rylee Hampton, 19, of Peebles, was stopped in a vehicle waiting to make a left turn into 1475 N. High St. A 17-year old male from Hillsboro was traveling northbound and was unable to stop his vehicle prior to striking Hampton’s vehicle in the rear. Both units sustained minor damage. The juvenile was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distanace ahead.
