Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Dec. 23

ACCIDENT

Tracy Erkenbrecher, 39, New Vienna, was southbound on U.S. Route 62 at 1:16 p.m. when the vehicle he was driving went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole and fire hydrant. Erkenbrecher had spun out and continued to travel on Dunlap Road when it went into a private drive and struck a parked vehicle. Erkenbrecher was found to be suffering from a medical issue and was transported to Highland District Hospital.

Dec. 24

ACCIDENTS

Steven White, 29, of Hillsboro, and Cody Marion, 21, of Greenfield, were both northbound on North West Street at 3:30 p.m. Marion stopped the vehicle he was driving to make a turn into a private drive and White was unable stop his vehicle in time due to inclement weather. White’s vehicle slid sideways and struck the rear end of Marion’s vehicle. White’s vehicle then slid off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported. Citations are pending.

At 6 p.m., Tiffany Wallace, of New Vienna and Edward Ross Jr., 38, of Bainbridge were both eastbound on Harry Sauner Road and were both coming to a stop when Ross was unable to stop his vehicle due to inclement weather. No injuries were reported. No citations were issued.
