RB Stone to perform at Spark

If you are looking for a special evening with your Valentine, Spark! Creative Artspace has just the thing on Feb. 11 with “An Evening with RB Stone.”

Stone is a singer, songwriter and musician based out of Nashville, Tenn., and according to Spark! Creative Artspace member Larry Chapman, Stone’s music can be characterized as “both acoustic and electric blues and country rock.” He said Stone is known internationally, but especially in “blues circles.”

Chapman wrote about Stone coming to Spark on the organization’s website and said, “RB Stone is a force in about any genre of popular music you can name. He’s at home with blues, rock, country, roots, Americana, and more. Stone is internationally known and has written songs and performed with acts like The Marshall Tucker Band, The Charlie Daniel’s Band, and the jazz group Hiroshima.”

Chapman said he met Stone several years ago at a cigar box guitar festival and since then the two have kept in touch.

Stone is set to perform at Spark! Creative Artspace on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

“This will be a free event, but since we need to fill up his gas tank, your donations would be appreciated,” Chapman said on the website.

According to organizers, the Three Spoons Diner menu will be accessible for delivery to attendees, and drinks will be available, too. But since Spark cannot have a hand in serving adult beverages, adults are welcome to bring their own. The event is “first come, first seated.”

Spark! Creative Artspace is located at 251 Jefferson St. in Greenfield.
