Three men were arrested Thursday after deputies found products used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, according to Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera.

In a press release, Barrera said that at approximately 12:47 a.m. Thursday, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence in Paint Township, Highland County. The deputies went to the address at 7265 Cathy Road to look for a subject on an arrest warrant.

Deputies made contact with a male subject identified as John Jett, Sr., 65, at the residence. They asked if the male subject, Troy Burns, Il, was at the residence, to which Jett indicated that he was there. Once inside the home, deputies met another male identified as James J. Deeter, 37. Deputies asked Deeter if Burns was there and he advised deputies that Burns was still at work and that there was a juvenile in another Burns with written consent, according to the press release.

Deputies found Burns, 36, hiding inside a closet in a bedroom, said Barrera. Burns was taken into custody without incident. While conducting the search for Burns, deputies discovered products used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, said the press release.

All three males were taken into custody. Children’s Services was called to the scene and took the juvenile. Jett was charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument. Burns was charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument, child endangering and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deeter was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals and child endangerment.
