Hillsboro Mayor Drew Hastings on Wednesday proclaimed the month of March as “Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month” within the city of Hillsboro. The proclamation urges “all citizens to take time to get to know someone with a disability, recognize ability at work and see what he or she has to offer,” and honored the Highland County Board of DD and Hills and Dales Training Center.
