Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

INCIDENTS:

On June 15 at 2:28 p.m. the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a two-vehicle property damage crash in the 1400 block of N. High Street. A vehicle operated by Laura Davis of Hillsboro was northbound on N. High Street and was slowing or stopped in traffic. A vehicle operated by Justin Carpenter of New Vienna was also northbound and unable to stop in time striking the rear of the Davis vehicle. There was disabling damage to the Carpenter vehicle and functional damage to the Davis vehicle. No injuries were reported. Carpenter was cited for failing to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

On June 18 at 3:38 p.m. the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a report of a shoplifter at the Hillsboro Walmart store. Upon investigation it was determined that Bradley Greene, 19, of Hillsboro had taken merchandise without paying for it. Greene was arrested for one count of misdemeanor theft and booked into the Highland County Justice Center.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS:

On June 16, Daniel Hollon, 24, of Hillsboro, was arrested for a bench warrant for failure to appear.

On June 16, Brian Murphy, 19, of Hillsboro, was arrested for a bench warrant for failure to appear.

On June 17, Amelia Cadwallader, 29, of Hillsboro, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

On June 17, Joshua Yost, 30, of Chillicothe, was cited for license plate light violation and for driving under FRA suspension.

On June 18 at 8:52 p.m. Robert Ballein, 26, of New Vienna, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
