Southern State Community College’s local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, has been recognized regionally for highest profile completion on PTK’s scholarship website.

Powered by Phi Theta Kappa, CollegeFish.org serves as an online resource to promote two-year completion and transfer pathways. Within its region, Southern State earned the recent recognition with a 17 percent completion rate; the next closest school marked 8 percent.

Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities through “Honors in Action” and “Five Star Competitive Edge” to develop critical skills such as problem solving, project planning, team building, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
